Another House Lost Before Firefighters Can Make a Decent Attack

Here is a short clip of firefighters staging an attack via deck gun from the street. This house is long gone.

It is hard to know the factors which contributed to this house being devoured by fire so quickly. It is amazing that the exposures haven’t caught on fire yet though.

This is one of those benefits of light weight construction and increased fuel loads inside homes these days.

I think the deck gun isn’t the best choice here. The house can’t be saved anymore anyway, but there are 3 clearly visible exposures: The neihgboring houses at the left and right, and the car parked in front of the garage. 3 Nozzles to shield those exposures would have been a better way to deal with this fire.
