The days keep getting busier. My daughters competitive cheerleading is in full swing and my son begins basketball tonight. If you follow the Fire Critic on Facebook, I mentioned I got in an accident in the engine yesterday. Everyone is fine. There was minor damage to the engine and the car. The engine did not go out of service, although we missed the call were responding to when it happened.
I am gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have vacation for Thanksgiving and I think we are spending it with my wife’s family in Richmond. I will be in Richmond that weekend and might have some time to get out. If anyone wants to catch up let me know.
In the spirit of Christmas, I put together the yearly Top Ten Christmas Gifts for Firefighters List. Check it out here!
Also in the spirit of Christmas, I am looking for companies who would like to take advantage of a cheap and easy marketing program…more on that here!

Product Review of the Week – Dragon Fire Alpha X Structural Firefighting Glove
The Dragon Fire Alpha X Structural Firefighting glove was reviewed by Captain Willie Wines Jr. including comments by myself. As we found out after the review, the glove has a huge following and is used widely in the fire service. We now know why.
The Dragon Fire glove is thinner than most traditional firefighting gloves yet still offers a level of protection that exceeds NFPA standards. The fingers had a good fit and were not bulky. This allowed for good dexterity and “feel”. – Captain Wines
