On Thursday December 20, 2012, The first winter storm of 2012 blew threw Mchenry with high winds, cold gusts and moderate snow. At 9pm, a report that sparks were seen along side the historical downtown Mchenry building where Windy City Wings was located came in to 911. You can see the side of the building where if began and worked it’s way throughout the entire building. Fire Departments from Round Lake, Crystal Lake, Woodstock, Wauconda and Mchenry IL assisted in fighting this more than four long blaze.
