While there isn’t anything exceptional about this fire or the video of the fire. It did make me think of apparatus placement.
I am guessing that the fire wasn’t too big when they got there. By the looks of it in the video, that engine probably lost a little paint due to the heat.
This is just something to think about when rolling up to the fire. Of course, I wouldn’t have had anything to worry about here. In the engine, we pull past the house and leave that area for the truck…which probably would have sustained some heat damage. It probably happens more often than many of us think.
The fire is from today, February 17th and was on Franklin Street in Annerley, Queensland, Australia.
