Hunteburg. In the great fire in the composting plant at the Dammer street in Schwegermoor (municipality Bohmte) property damage of several million euro was created. This explained a police spokeswoman on Monday at the request of noz.de.
Last Sunday afternoon, the regional control center Osnabrück was a fire in the composting company Region Osnabrück in Schwegermoor – located on the street 79 Dammer between Hunteburg and Damme – reported. A huge black cloud of smoke that drew towards Damme was visible for miles.
Due to the enormous size of the fire, a large contingent of fire fighters was in use. Between 400 and 500 firefighters from the counties of Osnabrück and Vechta fought the flames.
