Heroic Ground Ladder Rescue in Poland

The video below shows numerous Polish firefighters rescuing two people from the third story of a building that is going pretty good. The firefighters set a ground ladder to rescue the civilians and the unthinkable happens.

The video is slow to start, stick with it as it quickly becomes a learning experience.

The firefighters didn’t really have many other options for a different outcome. The only thing I noticed that might not have been ideal is the angle of the ladder. In the conditions they were operating under they had to act swift though!

I’m Not Dead Yet…

I am not exactly sure how they do things in Poland. However, one guy is extremely lucky his wife asked for his undertaker to grab a necklace off of his supposedly dead body before burial.

That is right. A man in Poland was pronounced dead by a doctor…but when an undertaker went to retrieve a necklace from the man’s neck he found a pulse.

Not only was the man not dead, the man is alive and well today.

According to the report, the man was released from the hospital after a couple weeks of treatment.

“The undertaker saved my life. I am so grateful. The first thing I did when I got out of hospital was take him a pot of honey,” he said. Read the entire article here

Video – Quick EMT Deployment in Warsaw, Poland

Check out this video of an accident in Warsaw, Poland. The videographer catches the unit leaving the station and then several still photos and video at the scene. What caught my eye was the rapid EMT deployment around the 1:00 minute mark in the video. Do they not have seat belts in Poland? That guy would have been part of the incident if the driver made any quick adjustments while entering the scene.

Editor’s Note: I don’t know what they call the EMS personnel in Poland so I went with EMT.
